Portman Travel enhance account management team with strategic appointments

Portman Travel, one of the UK’s leading travel management companies, welcomes two new members to its team – Mark Wheeler, Strategic Account Manager and Susie Palmer, Customer Focus Team (CFT) Development Manager.

Mark Wheeler will be based at Portman Travel’s Headquarters in Chertsey and hold responsibility for a portfolio of corporate clients. A newly created position, his role signals the TMCs commitment to the strategic management of client relationships.

Wheeler will build on his previous experience, gained with American Express and joins the UK team lead by Johan Persson, VP Account Management.  Susie Palmer will be based at Portman’s Stoke on Trent sales office with responsibility for the management and development of Portman’s Customer Focus Team, the TMCs unique account management offering for its SME clients. Palmer joins Portman Travel from a previous role with Eurostar, where she managed the TMC supplier team.

Commenting on their appointments, Adrian Parkes, Chief Commercial Officer said: “Both of these positions will enhance our client offering to both SMEs and larger companies. Portman Travel is continuing to grow, building upon recent significant client wins and we look forward to the contribution both Mark and Susie will make to the excellent client management service we provide.”
