Lufthansa’s new flagship, the A380 “Frankfurt am Main”, lands in Vienna

From approximately 12.30 p.m. today onwards, the first in a series of images of A380’s visit to Vienna prepared by a press photographer will be available to download free of charge. We will be updating and expanding the picture gallery on a number of occasions throughout the afternoon.

Those wishing to take a look at the pictures will find them under “Pictures” in the press section of our internet website, at http://www.austrianairlines.ag/Press.  They can then be printed off free of charge, quoting the reference “Austrian Airlines”.

At almost 73 metres in length and with a wingspan approaching 80 metres, the Airbus A380 is the largest long-haul commercial aircraft in the world, and the first modern jet to contain two continuous decks. Beneath the main deck is the cargo hold, which also extends along the full length of the fuselage. The Airbus A380 is distinguished by numerous innovations, including greater passenger and cargo capacities, a higher range, greater cost-effectiveness, lower fuel consumption per passenger, and lower noise levels than many other aircraft.
