Jet2 bring the all year sunshine a little closer

Jet2.com, the only low cost airline to operate flights to Sharm El Sheikh from Manchester Airport, has today announced it will increase flights to the Egyptian hotspot throughout 2010 and bookings can be made as of today.

The frequency will double to twice weekly with flights departing on a Thursday and Sunday, allowing Jet2.com to offer customers seven, ten and fourteen night breaks from Manchester Airport.

This further commitment to Jet2.com’s base at Manchester Airport and the route to Sharm El Sheikh builds upon the success of the route launched in 2008.

Philip Meeson, boss of Jet2.com, said: “When we announced the first low cost service to Sharm El Sheikh from Manchester in 2008, we were confident of its popularity but never envisaged such overwhelming demand.

“As a result, we have increased frequency for the 2010 season to meet demand giving the people of Manchester and surrounding areas guaranteed sunshine next year.”
