inzumi links with TripAdvisor for content share deal

Web portal inzumi has signed a partnership agreement with TripAdvisor which will see the company integrate reviews and recommendations from the travel behemoth into its travel information platform, print-on-demand travel guides and mobile guides.

The deal is designed to broaden the portfolio of the Frankfurt-based travel experts, offering their users an additional service.

Moving forward, inzumi’s travel destinations and tourist attractions will display ratings delivered by TripAdvisor.

Additionally, up to five of the latest user reviews by TripAdvisor will be shown with each point of interest matched by TripAdvisor.

Enrico Just, chief executive of inzumi.com, said: “The combination of content created by editorial staff with user opinions and reviews will become more and more important in the future, not only in the field of travel literature.

“With the integration of TripAdvisor we have taken an important step in the right direction.”

Featuring more than 45 million visitors per month, 20 million registered users and more than 50 million reviews and ratings, the websites of TripAdvisor are part of the largest travel community worldwide.

Users will be able to take over one or several of these reviews when creating their personal travel guide; these will also appear in the printed version of their guidebook.

“The cooperation with inzumi enables us to optimally support users when it comes to planning their travel and creating their personal travel guide and, at the same time, to offer them a new service, which helps them to prepare for their holidays,” said Sara Nanda, senior manager European partnerships.

“Moreover, the integration of reviews and opinions of our users into the inzumi travel guides allows us to expand our presence in a novel online medium.”
