Hilton looks to South America for continued growth

Hilton Worldwide confirmed earlier at the South America Hotel & Tourism Investment Conference hosted by HVS Argentina in Santiago, Chile, its expansion plans in Latin America are stronger than ever in its 93 year history.

As conference patrons, Hilton Worldwide is committed to cementing its focus on Latin America as a target market for the company’s growth and reinforces its desire to introduce new Hilton Worldwide brands to new markets, proven by its recent opening of the Hilton Garden Inn Santiago Airport.

Bill Fortier, senior vice president, development the Americas, for Hilton Worldwide, commented: “Hilton Worldwide has a strategic commitment to expand globally, and Latin America is a high priority target for our expansion.

“With recent openings added to our regional portfolio and new developments added to our pipeline, we are fully committed to the region.

“Latin America continues to afford us exciting opportunities, in both business and resort destinations with potential for further growth.”

Hilton Worldwide currently has 45 hotels and resorts throughout Latin America.

By the end of 2013, the company’s presence in Latin America is expected to surpass 60 hotels with a robust pipeline in place.
