German National Tourist Office holds ‘Green’ Business Seminar for UK firms

‘Green Meetings’ and sustainability in business is the theme of the German National Tourist Office’s forthcoming networking seminar on Wednesday, 26th September, an event initiated and hosted by the German National Tourist Office, in conjunction with The German Convention Bureau (GCB).  With two thirds of the world’s flagship trade fairs held in Germany - Europe’s No. 1 destination for conferences and trade fairs - the seminar will provide an opportunity for guests attending to find out more about conferences in Germany and learn about sustainability in business.

Mr. Matthias Schultze, Director of the German Convention Bureau (GCB) and Mr. Martin Riecken, Director Corporate Communications Europe for Lufthansa, will be appearing at the seminar, which is hosted by Klaus Lohmann, Director, UK and Ireland, of the German National Tourist Office.

Guests will be given the chance to sample some ground breaking ethical products and to discover innovative approaches to ‘green’ business in Germany. There will be news on sustainability trends and the evening includes a dinner buffet with wine tasting and ‘blind’ tasting of sustainable food.

Outstanding infrastructure, security, highly trained staff, integrated transport and
sustainability are key elements in Germany’s appeal as a business travel destination, plus a reputation for good value for money and a wide range of high-quality conference hotels, convention centres and event venues. Moreover, German service providers are renowned for their innovative approach and they lead the way when it comes to green meetings and sustainability.
