dealchecker.co.uk: Sydney set to hot up this Winter

As Australia reports a third month of consecutive increases in the number of tourists visiting the country, dealchecker.co.uk announce that Sydney will be a popular destination this winter-dealchecker.co.uk has seen an increase in demand for holidays to Sydney this winter. The company saw a huge increase in the number of people looking for holidays in Australia. Sydney is already incredibly popular with British tourists, and Australia as a whole has seen three months of increases in the number of tourists visiting its shores.

Australia is a firm favourite with British tourists, it was reported earlier this year that visitors from the United Kingdom were the second largest inbound group. In 2010 a total of 647,000 British nationals visited Australia; dealchecker.co.uk say that many of these tourists took advantage of great, cheap flights to Sydney.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics recently reported a third month of increases in the number of overall tourist arrivals. Short-term visitor arrivals during August increased 0.8 per cent compared with July 2011. dealchecker.co.uk expect many more British tourists to visit the country as summer arrives in Australia.

Mark Attwell, MD of dealchecker.co.uk, commented: “Australia has always been a popular destination for British holidaymakers who are attracted to the country due to the excellent weather and fantastic beaches, yet recently we have seen a surge of interest: in September we had 8 per cent more views for holidays to Australia than we had in July. Sydney in particular is incredibly popular and is set to be a top destination this winter as Brits look to escape to warmer climes.

“There are hundreds of things for visitors to the city to take part in, and whether they visit Bondi Beach or take in a performance at Sydney Opera House they will have a fantastic time. The country as a whole has a lot to offer British tourists looking for the holiday of a lifetime. The Great Barrier Reef is incredibly popular with people looking to explore the underwater world and Ayers Rock is one of the most breath-taking attractions in the world. Whether you catch a flight to Perth or Sydney, you will see why this country has long been a firm favourite with Brits.”
