Customers setting sail around the world this summer will be the first to benefit from Holiday Extras’ new cruise insurance.
The company has just started offering cover specifically tailored to cruise passengers.

The insurance covers delays, missed departures, missed ports, delayed baggage and missed excursions if a customer books them but then can’t go.

Single trip and annual policies are available, with different levels of cover depending on the type of cruise.

Holiday Extras’ head of insurance, Andrea Clayton, said: “Until now there have been a limited number of options on the market, and many types of cruise insurance haven’t given customers what they need.

“It’s all about helping customers and providing specific insurance products that give cruise passengers the support and protection they need.”

Travel agents can book cruise insurance on the Holiday Extras website and a policy can be issued in minutes.
