Andrea Tavella, Sales & Marketing Director for the Italian market of Costa Cruises since 2007, has taken on a dual position within the corporate Sales & Marketing Department. Tavella will be in charge of heading the Trade Business Development Department, whose main objective is to provide full support to the trade and business departments of the various markets worldwide, expanding the distribution of the Costa product through the traditional channel of travel agencies.
As Sales & Marketing Director, Tavella will also be in charge of coordinating sales and marketing activities in the markets of Northern, Central and Eastern Europe, North America, Middle East, Africa and India.
Thanks to the great experience gained over the past few years as head of the Sales & Marketing Department for the Italian market, Tavella is taking on the dual position with the aim of driving growth for Costa in other markets. He will report directly to Norbert Stiekema, Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
The Italian market will be headed by Carlo Schiavon, the new Sales & Marketing Director Italy, who will return to Costa after a three year period with Valtur as General Manager Operations. In his previous role with Costa, Carlo Schiavon actively contributed to organising the trade and business structures for Costa Crociere and Iberocruceros.
