Marriott Named Best in Surveys

WASHINGTON, D.C. - July 21, 2003 - Marriott received the highest rankings in the first annual SkyGuide “Best in Travel Awards.” Marriott Hotels and Resorts placed first as the most preferred hotel and Courtyard by Marriott also took top honors in its category. More than 4,200 subscribers and frequent travelers were surveyed. Complete results of the SkyGuide “Best in Travel Awards” will be in the summer (August) issue of SkyGuide GO published by American Express Publishing.
The June issue of Global Finance published by Global Finance Media, Inc., named Marriott “Best Global Hotel Chain” and “Best Hotel Chain North America.” The results of the Second Annual Global Finance Awards “Best Business Hotels & Airlines” are based on a poll of 15,000 readers.
