Northwest Airlines no longer selling tickets on Priceline.com
Northwest Airlines
has stopped selling its tickets on the Internet travel site Priceline.com.
The Eagan-based airline has grown ``increasingly concerned with the changes in Priceline`s business model,`` said Northwest spokeswoman Mary Beth Schubert on Friday.
On the site, Priceline.com
Internet users can bid on leisure airline tickets, hotel rooms, rental cars, cruises and vacation packages.
Nearly all the major airlines, including Northwest, sold ``distressed`` seats on the Web site that weren`t likely to be sold through traditional sales channels.
Schubert said she couldn`t predict whether Northwest would provide Norwalk, Conn.-based Priceline with net fares in the future
