Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced it has accepted delivery of its eleventh Airbus A319. The airline entered into an aircraft lease agreement for the 132-seat Airbus A319 jet with GE Capital Aviation Services. With today`s announcement, Frontier`s fleet consists of 17 737-300s, seven 737-200s and 11 Airbus A319s, for a total of 35 aircraft.

Each of Frontier`s aircraft features a unique wildlife theme on its tail, depicting animals native to the continental United States. The airline`s newest aircraft features a photo of a red fox pup on each side of its tail and on its wingtips, and was photographed by Robert and Lorri Franz of Morrison, Colo. Currently in its ninth year of operations, Denver-based Frontier Airlines is the second largest jet service carrier at Denver International Airport with a fleet of 35 aircraft and employing approximately 3,000 aviation professionals. Frontier and its affiliate Frontier JetExpress currently serve 34 U.S. cities with 180 daily flights. In 1999, 2000 and 2001, Frontier`s maintenance and engineering department received the Federal Aviation Administration`s highest award, the Diamond Certificate of Excellence, in recognition of 100 percent of its maintenance and engineering employees completing advanced aircraft maintenance training programs.
