From May 15 to 20, 2007, Montréal will welcome the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association (IGLTA) Convention at the Hyatt Regency. “We are extremely proud that Montréal has been chosen as host city of this important annual meeting,” says Charles Lapointe, President and CEO of Tourisme Montréal.

During the association’s recent convention in Washington this past May, the selection committee was completely won over by Montréal, as much by its warm personality as by the proposal the local committee and Tourisme Montréal jointly submitted to hold this prestigious meeting. Hosting this conference not only has a major impact on association members but on the city, since the travel professionals taking part in this event act as Montréal’s ambassadors on the world gay and lesbian tourism market.
