Qantas Expands e-Travel Outsourcing for Five Years

e-Travel has announced that Qantas
Airways has signed a five-year contract for e-Travel to deliver its leisure,
managed, and unmanaged online travel booking solutions.
e-Travel provides the airline with end-to-end e-commerce services that
include corporate and leisure booking engine technology, enhanced hosting,
Planitgo Web Design services and improved faring through Planitgo Flex
Pricer.

Joint efforts by the e-Travel/Qantas team to improve the customer’s online
experience have resulted in a reduction of customer technical support phone
calls by 70 percent.

Qantas Group General Manager Sales Rob Gurney said the outsourcing booking
engine technology, site operations, and web design services to e-Travel had
been a profitable strategy for the airline.

“e-Travel’s expertise has powered millions of bookings for us since we ‘went
live’ in 2000…
We’ve achieved several key objectives. Customer feedback has been very
positive about the web site redesign Qantas and e-Travel have engineered,”
Mr. Gurney said.

e-Travel ensures customer success by delivering a rapid return on investment
and continually investing in technology enhancements.

outsourcing partners who are not only flexible and reliable,” he said, “but,
more important can handle their long-term growth objectives - which is why
e-Travel is making its mark with the big carriers.”
