Plans to continue the expansion of Travel Network, the “bricks” division of the technology company, eTravnet.com by placing its franchised travel agency location inside Super Kmart stores, has been announced by Stephanie Abrams, Executive Vice President of the travel and technology company.
The global franchise travel agency division, entering its 20th year of operation, has forged its relationship with Kmart in order to expand its opportunities to locate its franchisees in store-within-a-store settings.
According to Abrams, the value of the relationship is reciprocal. “Our travel agencies benefit from operating in prime locations inside high traffic environments. Consumers are drawn from Kmart`s aggressive marketing programs,” she explained. The presence of our Travel Network Vacation Central agencies gives Kmart shoppers another value packed service to add to their shopping experience.
The company began placing its franchised travel agencies inside high traffic mass merchanders in 1996. Now, with approximately 50 Travel Network Vacation Central brand locations strategically placed in store-within-a-store settings nationwide, eTravnet.com has begun to implement the second phase of their expansion through this opportunity with Kmart.
Abrams notes that while the expansion of the “bricks” division remains a vital and important part of the company, the technology division of eTravnet.com is focused on the implementation of their unique patent-pending technology, REZconnect. REZconnect allows travel and hospitality providers including hotels, lodgings, restaurants, tour operators, cruise lines, and public golf courses to accept web reservations by telephone in a net-to-phone-to-net system.
