Azamara Club Cruises to overhaul fleet

Azamara Club Cruises has revealed plans to renovate its two ships, Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest.

The two liners will enter drydock in 2012 and 2013 respectively. Each will receive a ship-wide facelift and a new dark blue hull.

Interiors will see new carpets and upholstery added, plus a new colour scheme in all public areas.

All cabins will receive new mattresses and upgraded veranda furniture, while the pool decks will be resurfaced with new sun loungers and pool towels.

The casino bars also will be expanded and equipped with new furniture, while the spa and fitness centres will be enhanced with a new steam room, showers and cardio equipment.

“Azamara Club Cruises is offering up-market travellers more of what they love about our brand,” said Larry Pimentel, chief executive of Azamara Club Cruises.

“Our distinctive destination-immersion proposition and the warm and authentic personal service from every staff and crew member have really resonated with up-market travellers.”
