Allianz Global Assistance in the UK, makes its entry into the student market through its new partnership with STA Travel, the student and youth travel specialist which is celebrating its 35th birthday this year. Under the new agreement, Allianz Global Assistance is providing travel insurance designed specifically for younger travellers and students. Selected by STA Travel as part of a global tender, Allianz Global Assistance has become a strategic partner, expanding STA’s customer offering.

STA Travel specialises in cheap flights, adventure tours, gap year travel and career breaks, having predominately catered for the student market for nearly 35 years. With over 200 branches in 12 different countries, STA Travel needs an insurance partner with global expertise and the ability to create travel insurance policies tailored to the specific needs of younger travellers. Allianz Global Assistance is providing a total solution, including underwriting, IT, claims and assistance, as well as proven expertise in international travel cover.
