Air New Zealand signs three year partnership with STA Travel
Air New Zealand has signed a three year global strategic partnership with STA Travel to boost revenue and promote inbound tourism to the youth and student market. The agreement builds on previous work between Air New Zealand and STA Travel globally and will focus on generating sales by leveraging STA Travel’s global distribution network in the priority markets of New Zealand, Australia, United Kingdom, North America and Asia.
STA Travel continues retail expansion in UK
STA Travel has opened three new stores this year, as it continues its ambitious retail expansion strategy. Last week its first store in Swansea opened, which followed the new store in the INTU shopping centre in Milton Keynes in September. The STA Travel store in the Bluewater retail complex in Kent opened in August.
STA Travel brings new business focused brand to market
STA Travel has unveiled STA Travel Business, a new brand targeting young business travellers. This is the first time the company has targeted business travellers direct, however it has had a B2B business travel arm for more than 15 years. Harriet Kerr, business development director said: “We’ve worked in this sphere behind the scenes for some time, and in recent years we’ve noticed, not only a surge in younger people making business trips, but also a shift in the sorts of travel they’re booking.”
Philippines signs with STA Travel to boost visitor numbers
The Philippines Department of Tourism has announced a year-long international campaign with leading youth tour operator, STA Travel, in order to promote and expand travel to the destination, from the 19-35 year old market. The Marketing partnership will target six international markets including Austria, Australia, France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK, in order to meet the project objectives set out in the partnership agreement.
