The carrier will operate four weekly flights to Accra from September 29th. The city thus becomes the fourth new destination launched by the airline since the start of the pandemic.

Service to the capital city of Somalia will be operated by an Airbus A320, and will be tagged to an existing flight to Djibouti which resumed last month.

The carrier will add three weekly flights to Houston from September 2nd, while four weekly flights to Philadelphia will be on offer from September 15th.

Qatar Airways Group has launched four international investment arbitrations against the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Since 2017, the four states have imposed an “illegal air, sea and land blockade against Qatar,” the carrier said.

Qatar Airways will be resuming services to Venice, Italy starting from July 15th. The popular tourist destination and major arts and cultural centre will become the third destination in Italy to see flights from the carrier return.

The airline is implementing several changes, including the introduction of personal protective equipment suits for cabin crew while onboard, as well as a modified service that reduces interactions between the passengers and the crew inflight.
