Luxury ski specialist Leo Trippi has announced the launch of Chesa el Toula, in Suvretta, St. Moritz. Brand new for the 2018/2019 ski season, Chesa el Toula is one of St. Moritz’s most elite properties and is exclusive to Leo Trippi.

Bordeaux has welcomed its first Hilton Garden Inn property. The hotel joins an existing nine Hilton properties in France, which will be managed by Naos Hotel Groupe.

Indiana governor Eric Holcomb joined executives from Delta Air Lines earlier to announce a new non-stop air service from Indianapolis International Airport to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris.
easyJet partners with Atout France
easyJet has announced it has signed a long term partnership deal with Atout France, the French Tourism Development Agency, which will see the airline become one of its main transport partners.
SNCF welcomes new TGV Océane to south-western France
SNCF has introduced newly-designed TGV Océane trains on the line linking Paris-Montparnasse station with Bordeaux and Toulouse in south-western France. SNCF Voyageurs chief executive Florence Parly joined by Alain Vidalies, French minister of state for transport, oceans and fisheries on the first train as it left Bordeaux-St-Jean station.
Dozens injured in French rail crash
Dozens of rail passengers have been injured in France following a collision between a tree and a regional train in the south of the country. The tree fell onto the tracks at Saint-Aunes in the Herault region, leaving the line between Montpellier and Nimes blocked.
French strikes likely to hit Euro 2016 flights
Ryanair has called again on the European Commission to take action to prevent the skies over Europe being closed once more by French air traffic controllers’ union strikes, targeting the European Championships. Ryanair has been forced to cancel 44 flights on Tuesday, to/from and over France, in what will be the 50th French strike since 2009, and tenth in the past 12 weeks.

A record 24 sides will contest the 15th UEFA European Championship in France over the next four weeks, with kick-off later today. A much fancied France side will take on Romania in Paris, with hundreds of thousands of tourists expected to visit the destination before the final on July 10th.
French swimming tragedy parents arrive in France
The parents and sisters of 12-year-old Jessica Lawson have arrived in France to begin the repatriation of her body. The schoolgirl died earlier this week during a swimming accident after she fell into a lake near Meymac in the Massif Central region of the country.
Strikes continue at French ports for third day
Passenger at the Port of Calais continued to be hit by disruption this morning as a strike by ferry workers entered a third day. MyFerryLink workers walked out on Monday over the sale of the company’s ferries to the rival firm DFDS Seaways. The sale is expected to be completed tomorrow, when MyFerryLink will also cease operations.
France closes in on Olympic Games host bid
International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach and French president François Hollande met again earlier at The Olympic Museum in Lausanne. On the agenda is a possible French Olympic bid from Paris for the Olympic Games 2024. Paris moved a step closer to bidding for the 2024 Olympic Games earlier this month after the city council adopted a resolution in favour of hosting the Games.
