On commencement of the winter schedule (28 October 2022 through 25 March 2023), KLM’s network will embrace a total of 163 destinations: 92 European and 71 intercontinental.

South African Airways (SAA) assures its customers that the airline is not losing its route rights.  SAA continues to operate its current network and schedule with 6 regional and 3 domestic destinations. Currently, the airline has deployed additional capacity on the Cape Town route to meet demand and we have increased the aircraft size on the Harare route.

Boeing and China Airlines announced they have finalized an order for up to 24 787 Dreamliners, as the carrier invests in the fuel-efficient widebody to expand passenger and cargo operations. The deal includes a firm order for 16 of the longest range 787-9 with options for eight additional jets, a landmark purchase that will enable the airline to meet its long-term sustainability goals.

China Airlines formally unveiled its “Pikachu Jet CI”, the first Pokémon liveried aircraft in Taiwan. This was the most colorful livery in the history of China Airlines, taking 21 days to apply. A one-day charity micro-trip was organized on September 30 by China Airlines for the Taoyuan-Taipei (Songshan) route.

Aer Lingus is to launch a new transatlantic route for summer 2023 which will see the airline operate its first service to Cleveland in Ohio, with connections from nine UK airports. Starting on 19 May 2023, the new North America service will operate four times a week. This will be Aer Lingus’ 15th transatlantic route from Ireland and the only direct European service to Cleveland.

Bamboo Airways will launch weekly flights to Ho Chi Minh City on 7 December. The Vietnamese carrier will operate the route using a three-class Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
