Norwegian Cruise Line is the first major cruise line to offer members of Rue La La, a leading private sale shopping site, the opportunity to purchase seven-night cruise vacations to the Eastern or Western Caribbean on Norwegian Pearl during an exclusive 48-hour sale.  The boutique opens today, August 16, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. (ET) and closes at 11:00 a.m. (ET) on August 21, 2010 and provides Rue La La’s 2.2 million members with the chance to set sail on eight select departure dates from October to December 2010.  Prices are from $1,789 to the Western Caribbean and from $1,829 to the Eastern Caribbean per couple in a mini-suite inclusive of taxes and fees.

Norwegian Pearl features all the elements of Norwegian’s signature Freestyle Cruising including more than 11 restaurants, numerous bars and lounges, nightly entertainment, two pools, an expansive spa, casino and bowling alley. Norwegian Pearl’s 284 square-feet mini-suite accommodations feature a private balcony, queen size bed, sitting area with convertible double sofa and bathroom with shower and bathtub.

Guests can set sail on Norwegian Pearl’s Western Caribbean itinerary on October 10 and 24, November 7 and December 19 with ports of call including Roatán, Bay Islands, Honduras; Belize City, Belize; Costa Maya, Mexico and Key West, Florida.  Eastern Caribbean sailings depart on October 17 and 31, November 14 and December 12 and call on Samaná, Dominican Republic; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; and Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas, Norwegian’s private island.

Rue La La is an online shopping emporium, an inspiring destination for everything associated with personal style, and a partner to brands that want to reach their business goals in creative ways. At Rue La La, members discover 48-hour boutiques featuring a curated selection of the best names and offerings in men’s and women’s fashion, home, jewelry, footwear, wine, and more.  Since introducing travel to its lifestyle offerings, Rue La La’s 2.2 million members have purchased luxury excursions alongside their favorite fashion brands.

Norwegian continues to lead the way in innovation in the cruise industry when it comes to using web and social media services.  An early adopter, Norwegian was the first cruise line to establish a website in 1995.  It then went on to be the first cruise line to install Internet cafés fleet-wide, as well as being the first line to provide Wi-Fi access to its guests.  Norwegian launched its Facebook page in 2008 and is the only cruise line with a verified Twitter account.
