Tasty reasons to visit Sicily in September

Sicily is a popular holiday destination all year round, with each season offering its own distinctive charm. September is a particularly great time to visit the beautiful island, as the weather is pleasant, the beaches are peaceful and the sea is still warm from the scorching August sun – you can also take advantage of Eurocamp’s fantastic ‘September Sun’ discounts!

One of Eurocamp’s most popular parcs, El Bahira in Sicily conveys is ideal for experiencing the best of the Mediterranean island; heavenly beaches, glorious food and stunning scenery.

The parc is also just 3km from the pretty coastal town of San Vito lo Capo, known for its foodie event, which takes place in September each year; Cous Cous Fest, an exposition featuring Sicilian and North African cuisine and entertainment, including fusion and global music concerts, wine tasting and cookery workshops.

When not exploring the culinary delights and taking in the atmosphere of the festival (21 – 26 September 2010), holidaymakers can enjoy time spent back at the parc, where there’s plenty to keep the whole family occupied, with two swimming pools, tennis, fishing and volleyball as well as a programme of organised entertainment.

The parc even has its own scuba diving school, for the opportunity to explore one of the best underwater worlds on this part of the coast.

El Bahira has direct access to the beach and is just a short drive from the nature reserves of Monte Cofano and Zingaro, with the historic towns of Mozia, Trapani, Segesta and Erice a little further afield.
