Latest countries added to Expo 2017 exhibitor list

More than 100 countries have already confirmed their participation in Expo 2017.

Ukraine, South Africa, the Dominican Republic and the Republic of Colombia have been added to the list of participating countries that will show their achievements in renewable power generation at the event in Astana, Kazakhstan.

“Today, I would like to declare that we have realised the plan for attraction of international participants.

“Some 103 countries and 17 international organisations have officially confirmed their participation in the Exhibition,” said the EXPO 2017 commissioner Rapil Zhoshybayev.

European, CIS, Asian, Middle Eastern, Asian-Pacific, African and Latin American countries will participate in the exhibition, as well as 17 international organisations, including the World Bank, IAEA, OPEC, UNDP and UNESCO.

The list is expected to expand in the coming months.

“Now we are negotiating to receive confirmations from some more countries.

“Our campaign to attract international participants will last till the end of the year.

“Now we are appointing commissioners for national sections and preparing to sign participation agreements,” said Zhoshybayev.

Kazakhstan is entering the homestretch in its preparation for the exhibition.

As early as October, international pavilions will be assigned to participating countries and they will start to fill them.
