Finca Cortesin announces new Thai Oriental Spa in Andalusia

Finca Cortesin, Andalusia is delighted to announce the expansion of their 2,200sqm spa, with the arrival of a new spa menu inspired by Oriental therapies, and four additional state-of-the-art treatment rooms.

The new Oriental influenced spa area at Finca Cortesin has been built with Asian treatments in mind, performed by expert therapists from Thailand, who use bars on the ceiling for certain treatments, adding the perfect twist to traditional Thai massage methods.

The new treatment menu has been designed based on ancient healing techniques, devised to relieve stress and body imbalances through commitment to traditional Asian Spa techniques, dating back 5,000 years.

Guests can indulge in the Oriental massage offerings including ‘Therapeutic Thai,’ which increases the flow along major energy lines known as ‘Zen,’ harmonising the internal body.

Those searching for complete rejuvenation may select the likes of ‘Four Hands Oriental,’ a harmonised massage by two therapists working their four hands in unison, easing stress by loosening the muscles.

‘Shiatsu’ is another favourite, where therapists apply pressure using their fingers and palms, targeting pressure points, along with ‘Feet Thai,’ which involves specialised pressure techniques, stimulating reflex points on the feet that correspond and revive the internal organs of the body.

Guests who prefer treatments paying homage to Ayurvedic techniques will relish the likes of the ‘Matahari Face Massage,’ where warm coconut oil is gently poured over the head and face to relieve facial tension and stimulating relaxation while revitalising the skin.

Alternatively, the ‘Indian Head Massage’ is another popular option, relieving built up tension that can often result in headaches, migraines, neck and back pain, while the ‘Ayurvedic Full Body Massage’ helps to detoxify the body by stimulating lymphatic drainage, helping guests achieve the ultimate state of serenity.

All these massages could be combined with a Shirodhara Indian treatment, created to relax the nervous system resulting in improved brain function, mood stability and stress handing ability.

Thai Body Scrubs and wraps are also on offer, along with ‘Herbal Pouch & Oriental Massage .’ Herbal pouches have been used as an ancient healing system for alleviating chronic problems, including back and body pain, for many centuries in Thailand.

This treatment is ideal for soothing aches and pains, stimulating circulation and increasing vital energy flow.

The new Thai Spa at Finca Cortesin joins six existing individual treatment rooms and one couples suite, complete with heated floor and à la carte music. All treatments are performed using products from the renowned French brand, Biologique Recherche.

The Spa also features a 25m indoor saltwater pool with vast windows, promising spectacular views of the Andalusian hills and Mediterranean Sea.

The spa is home to Spain’s first Snow Cabin at -12 degrees, a unique setting in which guests can improve circulation and revitalise after a day in the Spanish sun.

Additional spa facilities include three thermal areas; male, female and mixed steam bath, Finnish Sauna, plunge pool; a relaxation area and a fully equipped fitness centre complete with the latest Technogym equipment from The Artis collection.
