Ebookers.com,
Europe’s leading online travel company,
announced today that it intends to acquire Flightbookers plc.  Flightbookers
plc is a top 10 UK travel company and currently provides travel fulfillment
services to ebookers.com in the UK.  A call option agreement for the purchase
of Flightbookers was set out at the time of ebookers.com’s IPO in November
1999.  This established terms and conditions governing any future decision to
purchase Flightbookers plc.  This agreement set the consideration for the
acquisition at $15m.  Flightbookers plc had direct revenues of 48.3m pounds
(approx $US70m) in 1999.  The acquisition is subject to the approval of
shareholders.
