Cathay Pacific and Citibank Celebrate

Cathay Pacific Airways and Citibank today celebrated the start of their fifth year of a cobrand credit card partnership with a “shop and fly for free faster” promotion at Pacific Place.

In celebration of the partnership, which has grown and flourished since 1999, and to further encourage spending in the local economy, cardholders who spend HK$2,500 or more per day at Pacific Place between 22-24 or 29-31 August 2003 will earn 2,500 Bonus Asia Miles each day, or up to 15,000 Asia Miles during the promotion. That is enough miles to redeem a free round-trip economy class ticket between Hong Kong and Taipei or Hong Kong and Hanoi.

The Citibank Cathay Pacific VISA has the best value proposition to frequent travellers in Hong Kong: HK$8 of card spend equals 1 Asia Mile, automatic and free conversion to Asia Miles, up to double Asia Miles on overseas spending, double Asia Miles on online bookings at cathaypacific.com and much more. With all these benefits, cardholders can earn free flights, upgrades and companion tickets faster, simply by spending with their Citibank Cathay Pacific VISA.
James Barrington, Director Sales and Marketing Cathay Pacific said: “We are proud to be in partnership with Citibank, the largest global financial services company. We are strongly committed to bringing value and exclusive benefits to these cardholders. Together we will continue to offer the best cobrand credit card to frequent travellers with the easiest and fastest way to earn free flights.”
Danny Liu, Country Business Manager of Citibank Global Consumer Group, Hong Kong and Macau said, “Both Citibank and Cathay Pacific recognized the growing demand from frequent travellers to be rewarded for their loyalty. The collaboration between us as industry leaders has brought about unprecedented success.”
