Disruption Latest at British Airways

Extreme weather conditions in the South of England today, including heavy snow, high winds and freezing temperatures have resulted in significant disruption to our operations, particularly at London Heathrow and Gatwick.

So far today we have cancelled five longhaul flights and twenty shorthaul flights out of Heathrow and seven flights out of Gatwick, with delays to many other services.

There will be further cancellations throughout the day due to the weather conditions.

Customers should allow extra time for their journey to the airport and may also experience some delays to their departure due to the disruption caused by the bad weather.

We apologise to all our customers affected by these extreme weather conditions.

Any customers who are due to fly from either Heathrow or Gatwick today are advised to check the website first before departing on their journey.

Customers whose flights have been cancelled are asked to call our hotline tomorrow to re-book their flights if possible due to the high call levels.
