Saudia Catering has yet again won a Diamond Award in the “On Board Services” magazine competition for the year 2002. It won the award this time for introducing another unique service through the development of dishes made from Bananas. The new program dubbed “Bananarabia” includes cold and hot breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes for long-haul flights and snacks for short-haul service.

“Bananarabia” idea and research came from Yaser Al Fahd, Mgr. Human Resource Development, Saudia Catering, Riyadh.
Saudia Catering had won the Diamond Award in the year 2000 for its catering program for autistic children in which 250 airlines, 100 catering companies and more than 100 companies catering to cruise lines participated. It won the first place for which a Diamond Award is given again in the year 2001 for its dishes and program about “Dates.”
