HubX Forsees Major Opportunities in 2002 for Hospitality eCommerce

HubX, an expert in enabling hotel systems with eCommerce capabilities, concluded 2001 with 55 more hotel clients and with many more partnerships in the pipeline.

In the past twelve months, HubX has delivered hotel eCommerce systems, particularly website development capabilities and booking engine automation services, for Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Amfac Parks & Resorts, The Saunders Group and a number of independent properties including The Boston Harbor Hotel, The Charles Hotel and The Colonnade. In 2001, HubX also signed an agreement with Wizcom to utilize its enterprise connectivity technology for seamless access to all four GDS`s.

HubX clients are wholeheartedly enthusiastic in their support of the product implementations. Comments include those of Glenn Selmi, Director of Information Systems for the 230-room Boston Harbor Hotel, who said “Getting a live interface to the PMS via the web has been the Holy Grail. HubX came in and made it all work, customizing their ASP module to work with the system I already had in place.” Richard Rabinoff, Director of Hospitality Systems for Amfac Parks & Resorts said, “If they simply had been replicating what we had, without the cost reductions or functionality enhancements, we would probably not have been interested. Instead, HubX allowed us to improve the operating efficiencies of what we offer to our guests and to ourselves.” Other clients use words like “nimble” and “responsive” to describe applications where there are typically many different property management systems and the HubX services are implemented successfully in a matter of weeks.

HubX expects to announce three new contracts in the coming weeks and will continue to enhance its products with new tools to meet the needs of hotels, both independents and groups. The HubX service platform is comprised of five core services designed specifically for lodging organizations.
