Celebrity Wedding Brings Holiday Cheer

After a long, cold night of bringing cheer to good boys and girls around
the globe, Santa Claus brought himself some post-holiday cheer on
Saturday, Feb. 7, when he exchanged wedding vows with Mrs. Claus at the
Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino.
The jolly couple, a.k.a. Dale Buxzel and Donna Unruh, were wed at a
festive ceremony among the more than 70 Santa Claus’ at the annual
convention for Naturally Santa, Inc. The 10-year-old company is the only
organization comprised of all natural looking Santas who pride themselves
on their membership’s commitment to not “drinking, smoking or womanizing”
and being Santa any time they leave their home.

The ceremony, which was a true exchanging of vows for Dale Buxzel and
Donna Unruh of South Dakota, was performed by fellow Santa Frank Martinez,
who is an ordained minister.

The groom and his court entered the chapel to the sounds of “Here Comes
Santa Claus,” while the bridesmaids marched to “Santa Baby.” The entire
procession was led by a flower elf, who may have a slight lead over Santa
when it comes to tipping the scales. Buxzel and Unruh celebrated their
marriage to the cheers of “Merry Christmas,” and celebrated with cakes
that resembled Christmas gifts.

Santa wore the traditional red overalls and Christmas shirt and Mrs. Claus
was decked out in traditional white gown. After being introduced for the
first time as Santa and Mrs. Claus, Santa put on his legendary red coat
and coal-black belt while Mrs. Claus donned her famous red cape with white
fluffy trim.

The couple marched off to the sounds of holiday music and presumably were
whisked away to the North Pole. Actually the couple marched downstairs to
share their new nuptials with the hotel’s now-famous Dealertainers, the
hotel’s celebrity impersonating blackjack dealers.
