ISPA Will Recognize A Dedicated Contributor To The Spa Industry.

A spa industry expert with more than two decades of experience in the worldwide travel and wellness industry will be honored during the International SPA Association Conference & Expo, Oct. 13-16 in Dallas, Texas, United States.  Jane Segerberg, spa consultant and a three-term ISPA president, is the recipient of the ISPA 2003 Dedicated Contributor Award.
“I served as the ISPA treasurer during all three years of Jane Segerberg’s presidency,” said current ISPA President Jeff Kohl.  “She is one of the key reasons for the current success of ISPA and the phenomenal growth of the spa industry.”
Segerberg is the senior consultant of JGL Inc. Spa Design & Consulting and manages the firm’s regional office in St. Simons Island, Ga.  Her experience includes more than 22 years in the travel and wellness industry as well as worldwide exposure to spas and their successful business strategies.  Segerberg’s background includes 18 years of five-star level resort experience and 11 years of private business practice.
Segerberg worked with the Sea Island Company in Georgia for eight years and then opened and managed the Sea Island Spa at the Cloister Hotel for 10 years.  Under Segerberg’s direction, the Sea Island Spa was the first spa chosen by Travel + Leisure as The Best Spa in North America. 
Segerberg served on the ISPA Board of Directors for eight years, including three terms as the ISPA president from 1997 to 2000.  She was instrumental in taking ISPA global, particularly into the Asian markets.  Segerberg will receive the ISPA 2003 Dedicated Contributor Award on Wednesday, Oct. 15, during the 13th annual ISPA Conference & Expo.
