Travelocity.com has been recognised by FamilyPC and named a “Family Tested” winner in the Travel category for the publication`s “Top 100 Family Web Sites”.
In its “Top 100 Web Sites” article for the April issue, FamilyPC highlights Travelocity as a “megasite” with so many destinations and deals, and so little time. Travelocity is applauded for providing the widest range of travel planning tools for booking flights, cars, hotels, vacation packages, cruises and much more.
FamilyPC showcases Travelocity`s Vacation Finder feature, which allows members to select a destination and a date and view the dozens of package deals and tours available. The magazine also noted another Travelocity feature, Seat Maps, which gives members a view of the seats in an airplane to determine where they want to sit, and helps ensure families are seated together. Additionally, FamilyPC especially notes Travelocity`s printable Custom Miniguides that give members personalised guides for popular domestic and international destinations.
FamilyPC`s editorial staff researched a large number of Web sites to bring to consumers a targeted list of options in 36 categories to help families save time and effort when searching for information on the Internet. The sites are scored based on ease of use, site design, and, most important, the content. Top sites geared to the family include the best places to shop and play, find lost relatives or a new job, or get advice to keep the family (and pets) healthy and happy. Additionally, FamilyPC found 46 more family friendly sites that are not listed anywhere else.
