Lloyd J. Parker, Jr. has been elected to the position of vice president, e-business for America West Airlines.
In his new role, Parker will be responsible for managing the company`s electronic business, Internet initiatives and online investments. Mr. Parker joined America West last May as managing director, B2B, in the e-business division. He has been instrumental in creating and identifying new opportunities to increase organisational efficiency and reduce costs.
Before joining America West, Mr. Parker spent the past five years with Bank of America, most recently as senior vice president in the integrated e-commerce division. Previously he served for 10 years in various leadership positions, including brand manager at Reebok and vice president at Contract Services, Inc., an installation level logistics support services company, based in Junction City, Kansas.
