Breaking Travel News investigates: Charlotte’s W5 partners with Sipsmith Gin

With the Halloween costumes tucked away for another year, attention is turning to the festive season.

Evenings are drawing in suspiciously quickly, while the first Christmas adverts are starting to appear on television.

To help ease the transition to the winter months, Charlotte’s W5 has created the ideal place to cosy up and relax.

Their terrace will be turned into a winter wonderland until the season is over.

Guests can saunter through the fir trees as the smell of roasted chestnuts wafts past before sitting under the twinkling canopy of fairy lights and wrap themselves in a cosy blanket while devouring one of the hot festive drinks.

Visitors can enjoy a selection of hot cocktails including a delightfully fruity take on mulled wine, Winter Sloe Gin featuring Sipsmith Sloe Gin, cinnamon, star anise and apple; and the Winter Negroni Sipsmith London Dry Gin, which includes Campari, sweet vermouth and rooibos tea.

Also on offer is the Hot Espresso Martini, which features Sipsmith Sipping Vodka, Electric coffee and vanilla cream.

In the London of yesteryear, boozy winter tipples were almost exclusively served warm – to fight off the bitter cold of pre-central heating public houses.

These drinks echo their memory – although in slightly more refined circumstances.

For those who want something non-alcoholic, local hand made in Ealing chocolatier, Lucy Savage, has created a hot chocolate that will be served alongside the cocktails to warm up any chilly fingers and toes.

Ealing residents now have the perfect place to sip away those long December nights and nestle among the warm, snug and elegant environment of Charlotte’s W5.

If you’re looking for a more substantial meal might also wish to step inside Charlotte’s W5.

The latest addition to Charlotte’s Group, the location has been built in a converted warehouse, with large tables and luxurious banquette seating.

The vibe is sophisticated, but not stuffy, with a well-heeled, business crowd chatting over the events of the day.
