Trans Anguilla Airways Achieves Major Milestone With GDS Integration

Founded and operated in Anguilla, Trans Anguilla Airways continues to play an important role in strengthening inter-island connectivity through both charter and scheduled air services throughout the region. Current operations include services connecting Anguilla with neighbouring islands including St. Maarten, Tortola, St. Barths, Antigua, St. Kitts, Nevis, St. Eustatius, Montserrat, Dominica, and other destinations across the Eastern Caribbean.

The airline’s continued expansion and modernisation further support Anguilla’s broader tourism and economic development goals by improving regional mobility, supporting visitor access, and enhancing opportunities for business and leisure travel throughout the Caribbean.

Director of Tourism Jameel Rochester stated, “The Anguilla Tourist Board is extremely pleased to see Trans Anguilla Airways reach this important milestone. As an Anguillian owned and operated company, their growth represents not only a success for aviation but also a success for Anguilla’s tourism industry and wider economy. Enhanced visibility through the GDS platform creates greater accessibility for travellers and strengthens regional connectivity, which remains a critical component of sustainable tourism development. We commend Vernol Gumbs and the entire team for their continued vision, commitment and investment in the region.”

Managing Director of Trans Anguilla Airways, Vernol Gumbs, added, “This achievement represents years of hard work, dedication and belief in the future of regional aviation. Being live on the GDS platform allows us to significantly expand our reach and provide greater convenience for travellers and travel professionals alike. We are proud to represent Anguilla throughout the region and remain committed to delivering reliable service while continuing to grow our network and partnerships. We sincerely thank the Anguilla Tourist Board and all stakeholders for their support throughout this journey.”

Chief Marketing Officer for the Anguilla Tourist Board, Kendisha Hall-Prentice, commented: “The integration of Trans Anguilla Airways into the GDS makes it easier for advisors to search, compare and book flights through the systems they use every day, ultimately improving the booking experience for their clients. We see considerable potential for this enhanced connectivity to support future packaging opportunities, particularly for twin-centre and multi-island itineraries. The GDS integration also opens the door for expanded commercial relationships and interline opportunities with international carriers over time. The increased distribution capability positions Anguilla more competitively within the global travel trade.”

The Anguilla Tourist Board recognizes the importance of strategic regional partnerships and connectivity initiatives in strengthening Anguilla’s tourism sector and supporting broader economic resilience. As Anguilla continues to position itself as a premier Caribbean destination, investments in regional transportation and accessibility remain essential to the destination’s continued growth and competitiveness.
