TUI AG thrashes out details of TUI Travel takeover
TUI AG has reached agreement on the terms of a recommended all-share nil-premium merger of TUI Travel and TUI AG, which is to be implemented by way of a scheme of arrangement of TUI Travel. Under the merger, TUI Travel Shareholders (other than TUI AG and certain connected parties) will receive 0.399 New TUI AG Shares for each TUI Travel Share held by them at the scheme record time.

Robb to take up digital marketing director roll at TUI Travel
TUI Travel’s Mainstream Sector has appointed Dan Robb as its digital marketing director. This is a new role within the sector and Robb will join the Group on July 1st. He has worked at Google for the last nine years where he has led the development and growth of Google’s Travel team.

TUI Travel boosted by return of package holiday
TUI Travel, the largest travel operator in Europe has reported a four per cent rise in revenue for the financial year ended September 30th, as more consumers opt for its package holidays. Revenue stood at £15.1 billion for the year, while underlying profits jumped 20 per cent to hit a record high of £589 million, according to its annual results.
