St James’s Hotel Group has appointed Simon Hall as general manager of the upcoming 166-bed boutique Hotel Indigo Bath. Joining the group with over 25 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, Hall will oversee the day to day running of the new hotel set to launch in spring 2018.

The Malta Tourism Authority has announced that 2018 will see the launch of the Malta Marriott Hotel & Spa, following a rebrand of the current Le Méridien property.

Yotel has announced plans to open its third property in the UK in late 2018 with a 212-cabin hotel in Central London’s creative quarter of Clerkenwell at 96-100 Clerkenwell Road. The project, developed by Medina Investments, has already broken ground and is set to open in late 2018. 

Hyatt Hotels & Resorts has revealed plans for Hyatt Centric La Rosière, the first Hyatt Centric hotel in France and Hyatt’s first ski resort in the region. Hyatt has entered into a franchise agreement with La Rosière Gestion SARL to be managed by Sophos Hotels.

Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and Edmond de Rothschild Heritage, a renowned lifestyle company owned by Benjamin and Ariane de Rothschild, have announced plans for the first Four Seasons mountain destination in Europe, opening in time for the 2018 winter ski season. Set among the snow-capped peaks of the expansive Haute-Savoie Alpine range, the project will include the all-new mountainside Four Seasons Hotel, Megève as well the conversion of a collection of traditional chalets in the heart of the medieval Mont d’Arbois village.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation confirmed that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a franchise agreement with M&L Hospitality for a Hyatt Place hotel in London, to be managed by Cycas Hospitality. Hyatt Place London Heathrow Airport will mark the second Hyatt Place hotel and the fifth Hyatt-branded hotel in the United Kingdom. The Hyatt Place brand is rooted in extensive consumer insights indicating that guests seek stylish, comfortable, seamless experiences that accommodate their lifestyles and familiar routines.
