AccorHotels has announced the new ibis Styles Glasgow Centre West will open to guests in summer 2018.

The site is currently disused offices on Waterloo Street, Glasgow and will undergo a major redevelopment over the coming months.

The hotel, which will include 137 bedrooms and a restaurant and bar, has been signed under a franchise agreement with Maven Capital Partners and will be operated by Redefine|BDL Hotels.

This is the second property AccorHotels, Maven and RBH have partnered on in Glasgow, the first being ibis Styles Glasgow Centre George Square.

ibis first opened in 1974 and is Europe’s largest hotel chain and leading economy hotel brand.

Since then, the ibis, ibis Styles and ibis budget brands have expanded rapidly in the UK.

ibis Styles Glasgow Centre West is one of 21 ibis Styles in the UK and is the fourth ibis Styles to be signed in 2017.
