Gulf Air to boost Pakistan flight schedule

Gulf Air has announced it will increase its flights between Bahrain and Pakistan by 30 per cent, or from 14 to 21 flights per week, to accommodate increasing passenger demand. The approval to operate a greater number of flights follows the successful conclusion of negotiations last month between the ministry of transportation in Bahrain and Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority, to increase air traffic rights between the two countries.

Gulf Air is increasing flights between Bahrain and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan by 30% from 14 to 21 flights per week to accommodate increasing passenger demand. Gulf Air has added seven extra flights weekly to and from Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, increasing capacity on the route by over 30 per cent to meet a growing market demand. The airline will now operate one extra frequency daily increasing its scheduled flights to three per day the key city in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Bahrain’s national carrier, Gulf Air will resume its services to Iran and Iraq from 20 September 2012 following the Bahrain Government’s approval. Flights to to Baghdad, Erbil, Najaf and Basra in Iraq and Tehran, Mashhad, Shiraz and Isfahan in Iran will be operated by a combination of Embraer and Airbus fleet.
