Gulf Air has appointed Mr. Rashid Al Gaoud as its new country manager for the United Kingdom (UK).

In his new role, Mr. Al Gaoud will be based in London and responsible for driving the commercial performance of Gulf Air in the United Kingdom and building on existing strong relationships with the airline’s General Sales Agent, Aviareps PLC, key travel agents and corporates.

With a background of sales and marketing, Mr. Al Gaoud started his career with Gulf Air in 2003 since then he has held a number of positions within the airline across its network, including Bahrain, Doha, Jeddah and the UK. 

Gulf Air’s Acting Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Ahmed Janahi commented, “Mr. Al Gaoud brings extensive knowledge in sales, marketing and operations to his new position as United Kingdom’s country manager. The UK is an important market for Gulf Air and we are looking to continue to strengthen our presence and growth in the market.”

Gulf Air currently operates double daily flights to London Heathrow.
