Gulf Air has commenced its direct operations to Bandaranaike International Airport, in the Sri Lankan capital Colombo, with five flights per week.
Gulf Air places order for 29 A320neo with Airbus
As part of its fleet renewal strategy, Gulf Air has announced a firm order of 29 A320neo Family. The new order includes 17 A321neo and 12 A320neo of which ten A320neo were initially confirmed in 2012. The contract was signed at the Bahrain International Airshow between Maher Salman Al Musallam, chief executive, Gulf Air, and Airbus president Fabrice Brégier.

Gulf Air flies into Sialkot, Pakistan
Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier, announced earlier it will start services to its fifth destination in Pakistan - Sialkot - on Tuesday January 17th 2014, with two flights per week. Operations to Sialkot International Airport, located around 125km north of Lahore, will provide Gulf Air’s customers, travelling to the Export Triangle of Pakistan – the area encompassing Gujrat, Sialkot and Gujranwala where approximately 60 per cent of Pakistan’s SME’s are located, with an alternative travel proposition.
