Visit Brasil Sensational, Brazilian Travel & Cultural Association - a non-profit-making organisation dedicated to promoting Brazil as a tourist and cultural destination – was launched on Thursday by Chris Fuzinatto, director of Embratur (Brazilian Tourist Office) for UK and Ireland.

The aim of the association is to encourage awareness of Brazil as a tourist destination among the travel industry and consumers, by directing traffic to its website and providing advice to consumers and agents alike. Visit Brasil Sensational will be a direct line of communication between the UK travel trade and the Brazilian Government and the members will gather at regular intervals to create a better understanding of travel matters relating to Brazil.

Chris Fuzinatto commented, “As we have all seen from South Africa’s hugely successful hosting of the World Cup, Brazil is about to enjoy an explosion of interest as a tourist destination, as the world begins to eye 2014 and beyond. There is a wonderful opportunity for the travel industry here and I look forward to welcoming many new partners to the Visit Brasil Sensational organisation, and together we can help fulfil Brazil’s potential.”

The main target audience groups for Visit Brasil Sensational are:

Activities currently being planned by Visit Brasil Sensational include events, fam trips, agent training workshops and advertising and PR campaigns.  Different Brazilian destinations will have the chance to become ‘destination of the month/year’ by sponsoring this area on the website.  All sponsors will be offered a marketing and promotional package based on their budget to promote their destination(s) within the UK.

As well as the Brazilian Tourist Office (EMBRATUR), Visit Brasil Sensational board members include well established tour operators, airlines and hoteliers, including TAM Airlines, TAP Portugal, Breezes Resorts, Senderos and Americas, whose Brazil programmes are recognised by the travel industry for their professionalism and reliability. All members are bonded and hold an ATOL / IATA licence for security and piece of mind.
