TrekAmerica has taken its award winning road trip formula to create three new Mini -Adventures departing Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New York for 2010.

The three and four day trips will give travellers all the excitement and adventure of a TrekAmerica tour on a short break. These are the first short breaks to be introduced by TrekAmerica with its other tours ranging from 7 to 64 days in length.

Mini - Adventures are ideal for travellers who have a limited amount of holiday time but still want to experience iconic tourist attractions and famous landscapes such as Niagara Falls, the Grand Canyon and Hollywood. Each of the three tours has been designed with this in mind. Travellers will enjoy short breaks beyond the city limits with TrekAmerica tour leaders taking charge of all the arrangements, ensuring they will enjoy the maximum adventure in limited time.

Ex Las Vegas – 4 days

On the four-day Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon trip travellers will experience horse riding western style during their stay at working cowboy camp. The iconic landscape of Monument Valley is the location of a guided jeep tour and an overnight experience with the Navajo, staying in a traditional mud-hut Hogan. Watching the sunset over the Grand Canyon is just one of the highlights of the trip and there will be the opportunity to take a scenic helicopter flight for a birds eye view of the canyon. The drive back to Las Vegas is via the famous Route 66 and Hoover Dam with plenty of photo opportunities along the way.

Ex New York – 3 days

Niagara Falls is one of the world’s most famous waterfalls and travellers on the New York City to Niagara Falls trip can enjoy a scenic boat cruise at its base on the Maid of the Mist. Setting up camp at Finger Lakes on the first night travellers will have the opportunity to hike to nearby waterfalls or sample the wine of the region at one of the many local wineries. The three-day trip finishes with a visit to the all-American college town of Syracuse and some shopping time at the Woodbury Common Premium outlet mall.

Ex Los Angeles – 4 days

The glitz and glamour of Los Angeles and Las Vegas are brought together on TrekAmerica’s Los Angeles to the Grand Canyon Mini - Adventure. The four-day trip includes a Hollywood highlights tour with Rodeo Drive, Mann’s Chinese Theatre and a chance to get up close to the Hollywood sign before leaving LA behind to head across the Mojave Desert. Lake Havasu is home to the original London Bridge and the perfect place to camp out under the stars on the first night of the trip. Travellers will have the opportunity to hike the South Rim Trail and watch the sunset over the Grand Canyon before heading to Las Vegas along Route 66. Holidaymakers will explore Las Vegas on a private limousine tour before lunching in true American style at Peggy Sue’s Diner. Leaving the bright lights and roulette wheels behind, the trip continues back across the Mojave Desert to Los Angeles.
