Singapore Airlines to increase Manchester-Munich-singapore services to daily

From 1 September 2010, Singapore Airlines’ customers in Manchester and the North West will be able to enjoy daily flights to Munich and Singapore. This will be an increase from the existing five-times-weekly Manchester-Munich-Singapore vv services. The Airline celebrated the launch of the new Manchester-Munich route, using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on 29 March 2010.

Singapore Airlines General Manager for the UK and Ireland, Mr. Joey Seow said of the service increase, “We are thrilled to offer our customers in the North West greater choice and convenience with these additional frequencies to Munich and Singapore. The response we continue to have for our new products on this route is encouraging and with the continued support of our service partners at Manchester Airport, we look forward to better serving Northern England.”

Singapore Airlines’ customers from Manchester and the North West have subsequently been able to enjoy the Airline’s latest product offerings, including a First Class seat which converts into the industry’s largest full-flat bed, a 30-inch lie-flat Business Class seat, the widest in its class, and an Economy Class seat ergonomically designed to provide an unprecedented level of comfort and space

Andrew Harrison, Manchester Airport’s Commercial Director said: “We are delighted that Singapore Airlines have decided to go back to a daily service.  This is another great example of further long haul growth from Manchester and it shows how Singapore Airlines and our other carriers are investing in this region and our passengers.”

In addition, customers can be entertained by more than 1000 on-demand options available on Singapore Airlines’ award-winning inflight entertainment system available across all three classes. First Class seats are fitted with 23-inch screens, Business Class seats feature 15.4-inch screens and Economy Class 10.6-inch screens.
