Amadeus, a leading travel technology partner and transaction processor for the global travel and tourism industry, has signed an agreement with Shearings Holidays (‘Shearings’) to be its GDS partner for the next three years. The agreement guarantees Shearings worldwide access to the entire range of fares, schedules and inventories on the Amadeus system.

Before selecting Amadeus, Shearings undertook a rigorous review of all GDS systems on the market. It needed a solution that would allow it to grow its worldwide presence and incorporate fares, schedules and inventories from the aviation, cruise and rail sectors. Amadeus’ system fitted the bill and on the 4th January 2010, bookings were migrated onto Amadeus. The migration was seamless and completed in less than two days.
