Ryanair has unveiled its new family product, Ryanair Family Extra, offering families a range of discounts on travel and an improved service on Ryanair flights.

With Ryanair Family Extra, families can enjoy a range of benefits and discounts on seating, infant fees and a range of services designed to make travelling easier such as infant equipment,  priority boarding, extra baggage allowance .

Ryanair’s Chief Marketing Officer, Kenny Jacobs said: “As part of our Always Getting Better programme and our commitment to the continued improvement of our customer experience, Ryanair is delighted to launch Ryanair Family Extra, offering families a great range of discounts and an improved service for those travelling with children.

Families booking with Ryanair can now avail of discounted seating, baggage and insurance for children, a reduced infant fee and 5kg infant bag allowance, bottle warming and changing facilities on board, bring two free pieces of infant equipment, and can bring a car seat on board when they book a seat.

And with our Fly & Save bonus, families who fly twice with Family Extra can enjoy 20% off their third flight booking. So for real family values, customers should choose the airline where family matters – Ryanair.


This is the latest in a long line of Ryanair customer improvements, following allocated seating, a free second carry-on bag, reduced fees and a new website and we will next unveil our brand new app and mobile boarding passes in July, followed by a tailored business product, as we continue to offer so much more than just the lowest fares.” Jacobs concluded.
