Ras Al Khaimah emirate represented in the UK

Boasting year-round sunshine, pristine sandy beaches and world-class resorts, just 45 minutes from Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah is the undiscovered Emirate taking the UK by storm…

Represented in the UK by London-based PR and sales agency PRMEDIACO, Ras Al Khaimah has recently begun a campaign to increase awareness of the destination and encourage inbound tourism via connections with the UK’s most well-known tour operators.

Ras Al Khaimah appreciates the importance of tour operators and will be starting seminars and webinars, among other activities, as well as arranging exciting FAM trips, to make sure that the trade industry becomes aware of the destination’s USPs and can sell it effectively.

Offering visitors an alternative option to its well-known neighbor, the northernmost emirate of the UAE, has been attracting a steady stream of UK tourists for many years. Official figures confirm that over 1,000,000 British nationals travel to the UAE every year, due to changing perceptions of the UAE and its modernity.

Here visitors are encouraged to get outdoors and explore the diverse landscapes, with 64km of coastline, breathtaking mountainous ranges, red, sandy desert plains and mesmerizing creeks and lagoons providing the platform for an abundance of activities including watersports, sailing, desert camps, golfing and mountain adventures.

Alongside this the destination boasts many 5* luxury hotels, tranquil spas and a varied range of restaurants serving up internationally-inspired cuisine and appealing to those that prefer a relaxing break. With a population estimated to be 416,600 the warm Arabic hospitality of Ras Al Khaimah’s people is also unparalleled, created by its rich heritage dating back 5,000 years, which manifests itself in numerous historical sites, forts and abandoned villages.

Bookings for 2015 by tourists from the UK indicate an even greater dynamism than previously seen, as the excitement surrounding the region continues to grow, with increasing numbers looking to try somewhere new this summer.
