New website for Cardiff Airport

New website for Cardiff Airport

Cardiff Airport has today launched a new website focussed around the different needs of visitors using the site, designed to be easy to use with customisable sections for frequent users and a more contemporary look and feel.

The domain name remains www.tbicardiffairport.com

The website landing page starts by asking website users whether they are planning a trip, travelling soon, meeting & greeting or in search of airport information.  The choice then leads the user to the information they should require for that purpose plus access to the rest of the website if required.

The website has enhanced booking engines meaning visitors can book car parking, flights, holidays & accommodation, car hire and executive lounge access directly from the airport website.

For frequent users of the site there is the option to select the sections which they require via the ‘customise content’ tab. These preferences will be stored for when the visitor next accesses the website.

The website also allows users to link to social media channels through the share icon and users can choose to follow the official Cardiff Airport Twitter feed.

Cassie Houghton, marketing and PR manager at Cardiff Airport said, “During the research and development of the website we focussed on the needs of website users and have designed the new site with these needs in mind. Once completed we thoroughly tested the new website and were greatly encouraged by the positive feedback we received.  We hope that frequent users to the site will take advantage of the customisable sections and visit the site even more regularly.

“We also wanted to develop a more modern website which embraces social media channels and can be used as a platform to further develop our social media communications and mobile applications during 2011.”

The website is bilingual in English and Welsh.

New websites have also been launched at TBI abertis airport’s Belfast International, London Luton and Stockholm Skavsta. All websites were designed and developed by 5site.
