Travelling to the Turkish Riviera of Antalya she, and fellow travelling companions Derek Conway, Emma Ridley, Anthony Costa and Russell Grant, get to sail a banana boat; take a cultural tour around the old town and local tourist sites; and meet locals in their home.

Best known as a Television Newsreader, Jan has had a varied career in television, starting her working life in theatre.  Born in Kent, she went to New Zealand and Australia in the early 60’s where she appeared on both stage and television.  She was the first woman newsreader on television in Sydney in 1963, as well as one of the first UK contingent.

Following appearances on ‘I’m A Celebrity’, and the BBC2 series ‘Safari School’, Jan has continued her conservation charity work with Cheetahs in their natural environment.  Recently dubbed ‘Jan Dare’ she has also tried wingwalking, huskey sledding and flown with the world’s only globally accredited aerobatic airline, the Blades.
